14 students of Muktsar school test positive for virus
Panic gripped students and parents of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Warring Khera village in Lambi as 13 students tested Covid positive on Tuesday. Notably, a student tested positive on Thursday. Thereafter, the samples of all students and staff were sent for testing.
Sources said 12 infected students are of Class VIII and two of Class IX. Notably, this is a residential school, where classes are now suspended for the next 14 days.
Dr Ranju Singla, Chief Medical Officer, Muktsar, said, “We have declared the school a micro-containment zone and told the authorities to quarantine the infected students in one hostel.” — TNS
