SAD-BSP sounds poll bugle in Amritsar : Sukhbir Singh Badal

SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal has assured people to bring a change in their lives if the SAD-BSP was voted to power in the coming Assembly polls.

The alliance sounded the poll bugle in the presence of their candidates after performing ardas on the Akal Takht premises on Monday.

Sukhbir announced that various public welfare schemes would be revived.

“Be it the atta-dal scheme, free tubewell connections, Shagun, pension, blue card to BPL families, they will be revived after the SAD-BSP comes to power. I promise to give a government that would change the quality of life. All pay commissions were put into practice during our tenure. The Congress had a chance to implement the pay commission but in vain,” he said.

Sukhbir said the state Congress could not live up to the expectations of people. “What could be expected from a government which backtracked on its responsibilities and promises. Don’t expect anything from the Channi government which is a bundle of lies,” he said.

On Arvind Kejriwal’s “guarantees” being announced in Punjab, he said if Kejriwal was so sincere about them, he should first implement them in Delhi.

Sukhbir appealed to the Centre to give a guaranteed MSP to farmers and scrap all cases registered during the farm struggle.
